Primrose Herd free-range ducks are from Creedy Carver.

All Creedy Carver’s free-range ducks enjoy a large grass covered range as well as water for bathing and cleaning their feathers. They are fed on a natural low-energy diet and allowed to grow slowly, producing leaner, full-flavoured meat. The birds are then traditionally dry plucked and hand finished which is why their skin crisps so beautifully in the oven.

Three weight ranges are available starting from 1.8-2.2 kg, ideal for 4 people to the largest 2.7 kg plus to feed up to 6 people.

Founded in 1985, Creedy Carver has specialised in producing the finest Free Range Duck and Chicken for over 30 years with a reputation for great flavour and a high meat yield. The concept is the same now as it has always been, to produce great tasting poultry with a huge emphasis on bird welfare and sustainable farming.

Delivery Information

Please note: Creedy Carver duck is butchered to order in batches and despatched from Primrose Herd weekly on Fridays, for Saturday next-day delivery. Orders placed after Wednesday will not be dispatched until the next Friday, so depending on when you order, please allow for a slightly longer wait time for delivery.

Delivery to Mainland UK only (excluding NI). Shipped via express delivery in high-quality packaging and insulation.

How does shipping and delivery work?
Because we're a marketplace with many different vendors, the items in your basket may come from multiple warehouse locations, in more than one shipment.

We attempt to make this clear to you throughout the process via the following:

* On each product page we show the vendor details, the estimated shipping and delivery dates and the shipping cost for a given product.
* We display estimated delivery times in basket, checkout and confirmation email.
* At checkout we display the number of deliveries and associated costs (if any) with each shipment.

Individual vendors may offer free delivery when a minimum threshold or amount is reached. If so, this is messaged in the lime green shipping and delivery information just below the buy buttons on a product page. We offer a Delivery Pass subscription that offers subsidised and free delivery as well.
How do subscriptions work?
We offer Subscribe & Save subscriptions on many products to make it easy for you to repurchase your favourites. There are no minimum order requirements and subscriptions are fully manageable through the subscriptions tab in your account. Subscriptions can be cancelled or paused at any time.
Is your meat Halal?
No, our meat is butchered to UK butchery standards for the wellbeing of the animals during slaughter and is not Halal.
How does the meat arrive via courier?
All orders are despatched in high quality packing, including woollen insulated lining and frozen cooling pads. The packaging keeps your meat cool for at least 48 hours. We send all orders on an overnight delivery service via APC couriers.
If delivering to the Scottish Highlands or the Isle of Wight, orders can take longer to arrive.
Is the meat sent fresh or frozen?
All our meat is shipped fresh in high quality packaging, perfect for freezing once you receive your items if you wish.
When will my poultry order arrive?
All our poultry from Primrose Herd is ordered fresh each week and despatched on Thursdays and Fridays. The cut-off for same-week despatch is 1am on Wednesdays; otherwise, orders with poultry will despatch the following week.
Will I receive order tracking?
When your order is despatched, you will receive a despatch notification from APC couriers via email. You will also receive an SMS from the courier on the morning of delivery. Usually a 2-hour delivery window is communicated to you, so you know when in the day your items are arriving.
